Welcome to the John Kistner State Farm Agency in Berkeley, California, where we have deep roots in this community. My father, Richard Kistner, became a State Farm agent in 1955, long before computers or cell phones were part of daily business. I followed in his footsteps and became an agent in 1991, and together our family has proudly helped serve many of the same families and business owners for more than 70 years. Our office is truly a family operation. My sister, Denise Lewis, worked alongside our father until his retirement in June 1991 and joined my team when I was appointed later that year. My nephew, Billy Lewis, joined us in 2017, adding a third generation to the business. While much has changed in how insurance is delivered and serviced, our commitment to personal service and long‐term relationships has never changed.
